Inspired by the annoying alarm on my Apple Watch and a really hard day.
“You did it.”
You stood today.
Even just for an hour.
And the bed still shows your shape.
Move your stiff muscles to the bathroom and stare at the mirror.
You stood today.
Pick up the lighter.
Light a candle.
Fluff the pillows.
Take a sip of water.
You stood today.
Open the blinds and take a breath.
It’s okay if you’re not okay.
Place yourself back into the mold of your body in the bed.
Like the perfect fit of a puzzle piece.
Take a breath.
You stood today.
And you can do it again in the next hour.
And the next one.
And the one after that.
You stood today.
“You did it.”
